We have had a lot of snow this year, more than usual, and I love to paint snow. This painting location is very close to my home and I walk by it daily with my dogs. The sun was bright in the forground and in deep shadow in the back, with deep ridges in the snow and cast shadows. This is a typical Northern Ontario winter scene. I don't have to walk far to be inspired, just outside my door.
