Walking on Long Lake in the Winter is one of the pleasures of the season for many people. I enjoy walking by the shoreline and studying the shadows in the snow and the trees and rock formations. Some trees barely have any soil to cling to and I'm always amazed how they hang on and continue to grow year after year. I never tire of Winter, it's my favourite season to paint and Long Lake in Northern Ontario is my favourite location.
