Winter's Beauty on Long Lake Shores

Winter is always a great time to find painting ideas while out walking on the lake.  The lights and shadows on the snow cast by the trees and foliage always inspire me to paint. I waited to see if there are any animals passing through this quiet scene but saw only footprints behind the rocks.
